Operation We Care (OWC)
Twice a year OWC packs 800 to 1,000 care packages which are sent to individuals wherever they are located during their deployment. Samuel Chase Chapter, NSDAR, supports OWC by collecting needed items and helping to pack boxes.
Lap Robes
Another one of our ongoing yearly projects. Daughters gather monthly to knit/make/sew lap robes from donated materials and yarns. Working closely with our local nursing homes, these lap robs are gifted to veterans residing in the nursing homes in honor of their service. We distribute these gifts around Veterans Day, November 11.
John Parker Cemetery
Samuel Chase Chapter, NSDAR, members have cleaned the small cemetery of an American Revolutionary War Patriot and plan to keep it maintained. Before picture is on the left and after the second cleanup is on the right.
July 2024 - America 250! Marker
The Samuel Chase Chapter, NSDAR, placed an America 250! marker at Perdue Stadium on a perfect day. So many people made this possible: donations from members, the community, assistance from the Wicomico County Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism, and the General Manager of the Delmarva Shorebirds. The Samuel Chase Chapter members worked tirelessly to make this marker dedication a reality. Attendance by community leaders, MSSDAR state officers, and NSDAR past and present representatives, the SAR and C.A.R. added much to the dedication
